I'm proud of myself today.
I'm ready and on time with Favourite Things Friday !
It's an easy one to day.
Click on the Favourite Things Friday link on my side bar if you'd like to join in.
I'm not really one to spend a lot of time on souvenirs when I'm travelling but a while ago I decided it is nice to have a momento of some sort - something that I can look at use and remember what a lovely place it came from, what a lovely time we had.
So I decided I would collect mugs - a mug from each trip which would symbolise the country and the places we had visited.
So here is my new mug.
And here are some of the cottages we saw.
I think they are a pretty good match, don't you?
Inside the mug there are pretty little details.
and here is the artist's name on the bottom.
Now it will join the others from my collection.
Scotland, Canada, England and France
So there you have it, my favourite thing for this week.
Cheers.
I am the mug that pays for them !!
ReplyDeleteAnd he loves to do it !!!
ReplyDeleteThey are great, i lugged two mugs from Harrods all the way around europe for a month! They are my fav's !
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, you two bantering away! :) The mug is gorgeous and collecting them is a lovely way to remember your travels. They aren't the kind of mugs you want to put in the dishwasher and risk the paint coming off even if they do say dishwasher safe.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Anne xx
Awww.... I really love timbered and/or thatched cottages too, and cats in flowery gardens. Is the first one in Pembridge? Very cute indeed.
ReplyDeleteha ha you can ban certain people from your blog you know Helen :-D
ReplyDeleteLove the all of your mugs, very fun way to remember your trips. Kiddo and I look for Christmas ornaments as our momentos.
ReplyDeletelol..stop it you two or I'll send you to your room!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of something functional that you can use as a memento of your travels. Your newest cup is darling. Thank you for showing it off.
Love Tony's first comment. Well, with us it's collecting silver charms for my braclet. And yes, Scott is the one who pays for them here too. But, my sweet Aussie friends, I see that a mug is missing. Where is the U.S., When are you coming to the U.S. and where would you visit if and when you come to the U.S. I guess we are pretty far down that list.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend,
Kate
what a lovely reminder of your journey

Love Tony's comment. At least you now have something to remind you of your holiday, and you can use them everyday.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea! I love the mug. It's almost like having a photograph to look at while you enjoy your coffee. Very good match to the lovely cottages you saw!
