The ones above are on a golf club where they are able to water the fairways from the large dams they have put in for that purpose.
The rest are doing their best to make up for the lack of green grass as we haven't had a drop of rain since July.
Beautiful aren't they?
Cheers.
Cheers.
Yes Helsie, indeed they are beautiful. The color is incredibly rich.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine what it would be like not having rain since July...

DeleteIt's not pretty David that's for sure, especially as it is officially Spring ( though it feel like summer) and there should be flowers, green grass and the odd thunder storm at least.
DeleteWow! I'd love to see those. You are welcome to a bit of our rain if you like - we've had it in bucketloads recently!! Pity it's not possible to send you some.
ReplyDeleteThanks we'll take you up on that offer of some of your rain!
DeleteSuch beautiful flowering trees. Enjoy their beauty. Prayers for your country as you are battling all those vicious fires.
ReplyDeleteIt seems the danger from the fires is over for the moment. big cleanup ahead for them... and lots of heartbreak too but they are safe at least.
DeleteOh no ~ i feel for you all. We had our first night of rain this week in over a month ~ it was such a godsend as everything is drying out so quickly. Bring on the wet season! I just love the Jacarandas :)
ReplyDeleteAs usual it's feast or famine Carol. No rain or too much rain eh?
DeleteGlorious. I may be one of those old ladies who wear purple. Except I'm going to call in 'Jacaranda'.
ReplyDeleteI'm going through a turquoise period at the moment...
We call it menopausal mauve here Katherine !!!
Deletein = it
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'll take 2 or 3 of those. I have had an avocado tree for 30 years, so I might be able to baby some jacarandas along. I'm thinking those lovely purple trees in the background and Scotch broom in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI imagine they would grow where avacados do Jan. They are originally from Brazil so probably don't like it too cold eg snowing but your climate is a bit like ours isn't it?
DeleteIs that Scottish Broom a yellow plant? I have seen a plant called Broom here . It grows well but doesn't manage much flower. I think it gets too hot too quickly . It grows well down south though where it is colder and the seasons more pronounced.
Deletethey really are beautiful, I 'd love one in the garden over here!
ReplyDeleteToo cold over there Louise but you have other things to compensate for them ... like lovely Autumn colour.
ReplyDeleteGosh they are beautiful. We had an amazing jacaranda tree in our garden in Perth and the seed pods always fascinated me. I miss those beautiful flowers. Thank your for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! How beautiful! Just what I needed to see on a wet, dull and very windy afternoon here in the UK. Ros
ReplyDeleteGorgeous trees. What stunning purple displays. Your jacaranda photos are such a contrast to your last post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and wow, you still have me listed!
Most beautiful trees I have ever seen....
