DISAPPEARING NINE PATCH QUILT - STAGE 2
This is a stage that I really like.
Lots of pinning then off you go!
Creating lots of nine patch blocks in my favourite colour combination - blue and yellow.
Probably about half way there with the nine patches.
Then it will be time to cut them into four pieces, mix them up and sew them back together again.
It's a crazy business this patchworking !!

What?? Crazy business alright ~ seing them together, cutting them up, mixing them up and then sewing them back together. Can't wait to see the end result and it might all make sense to us no nothings :)

ReplyDeleteI am surprised that Tony hasn't taken up quilting yet as I am aware that most Australian men are into embroidery, knitting and other textile crafts. Can't you teach him?

DeleteHelsie, it is so pretty! And I like it much better than anything bought. The combination I like best is the first one but all them look great together. You will undoubtedly inspire a lot of people to try quilting.

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit scared the geometric will not look right. I nearly have enough now so will lie them all out on the bed for a photo before I start chopping.

DeleteI like the combination of blue and yellow too. It would look great in our new wood cottage, the colours complimenting the warmth of the wood, Sadly Marcia is ultra modernist which is why I only have my little corner for my old desk and bookshelf!
